Repair

Items that wear can usually be repaired in one or more ways:

• In the craft grid, by crafting a new item from the worn item together with a less worn (or new) item of the same kind. The worn item should be placed to the left of the item used to do the repair. Check the output before taking the newly crafted item. This method can be used to preserve item attributes (eg. tool levels) when other repair methods are not available.

• On an anvil, by hammering with a hammer. The repaired item must be left to cool down before removing it from the anvil. Having a heat source (fire or lava) within 2 nodes of the anvil will speed up repair. Water nearby will speed up the cooling process. You can also cool the item by applying water from a bucket or can.

• In a repair machine. These are obviously not available to beginner players.

Note: not all items can be repaired using all methods.
